The result of Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) election did not take me by surprise. I had thought that if MIC delegates have any sense at all, they would at least get Subramaniam elected as the deputy president. But frankly I couldn’t care less what happens with MIC. If Subramaniam is worthy of being elected at all then there is no sense for him to stay with MIC. What can one person do when practically the whole party machinery is being controlled by Samy Vellu?
Today’s MIC election result is only another indication confirming the irrelevance of MIC. Yes, Samy Vellu reigns supreme again - but to what? Isn’t the past 8 by-elections, where over 85% of Indian voted for the opposition party - Pakatan Rakyat, a good enough indications that MIC should just be dissolved?
The fate of MIC can be compared to the late Ching Dynasty of China. During the last days of Ching Dynasty the child emperor Pu Yi was confined to the Forbidden City while the whole country descended in utter chaos. His emperorship was maintained by the warlords for political and diplomatic manipulations.
Pu Yi was confined in an imaginary world, left behind time and out of touch with reality. He was surrounded by an entourage of concubines and eunuchs who have no where else to go. Many stayed behind to plunder whatever left of the imperial treasures amassed through centuries of exploitations.
Such is the fate of MIC now. Tell me that Samy’s candidate lineup is not a bunch of eunuchs and concubines. Tell me that the delegates who voted for Samy’s lineup are not a bunch of eunuchs and concubines. Tell me that this bunch of eunuchs and concubines are not there to share Samy’s 32 years of loot. Tell me that these bunch of eunuchs and concubines are there to serve the Indians.
The sorry state of MIC could also be said of the rest of Barisan Nasional component parties. The whole Barisan Nasional government has gotten so stinking rotten that one just wants to flush it down the toilet and forgets about it like a bad dream.
I don’t want Pakatan Rakyat to feel congratulated by what I wrote. I can very honestly say that I don’t think Pakatan Rakyat is worthy of being a political party. I don't think it is able to form a shadow cabinet without causing major split in the party. I don't think it has done a great job in governing the states under its control as well. I would be very reluctant to give Pakatan Rakyat a 50% passing mark.
But at least Pakatan Rakyat is not a pile of complete bullshit. If the recent Japan election were to serve as an indicator – Pakatan Rakyat may just well win the next general election, and I think more likely than not that it will.
I don’t believe that the answer to the profound ills that humanity is suffering now lies in the political arena. Humanity needs a new beginning. The current chaos is but a time of awakening. A new type of leadership needs to arise. It will happen as a matter of necessity for humanity continued survival.

I am not a blogger nor a writer but just an observer of Malaysian politics. Whenever i have an opportunity i try to leave my comment on the writings of bloggers. The issue you had post is on MIC and the Indians issue. For me the India dilema is minor and has no significance on the 13th General election. It is those indians who claims that they are the final decider in election but the reality is their numbers are not as been predicted. For instance for Bagan Pinang, there is a forecast telling Indian consist of 20% population and can be the decider. This,i will never agree because as Tun Mahathir said indians are divided to 8 political parties and few of unregistered organizations. Plus most of Indian have no documentation such as no valid citizenship, birth certificates or identity card and of course not eligible for registed as voters. Dont forget on the social troubles involved by the indians such as gangsterisme, crime activities, drug addiction and alcoholisme. If you minus all the negative factors the Indians stand more less that how much the Penan people are. I suggest or recommend that concerntration to be given to East Malaysia where most indegineous people are marginalized or abandon from any single facility. We here atleast taste any of the goodies given by the government but the latest report on Penan rape case show how cruel and nasty the government of the day can be. They are the one that will be final decider for the next general election. I am not against the Indians, they are not marginalized but mere ignorant or not working hard enough to earn their living. The Penan hardship is a good example to prove the Indians have to wake up and accept the reality. They want everything from the government but when the government gives it will be taken away by their political leaders and the people will still vote for the culprits as a leader or political represents. I would appreciate more concerntration and consideration given to those neglected person from East malaysia and because that is the strength of the BN government. Bloggers should write more on East Malaysians and make them aware of their rights as Bumiputra and citizen of Malaysia.

i have friend from Miri who does not consider Peninsular politics as their own. they say they are proud of who they are, they dont want to have anythg to do with peninsular politicians.
well news flash bro, you eastern malaysans have spoiled us with this corrupt government another term. your CM f####d you lot so hard, nobody in peninsular can actually help.
don't say that indians don't work as hard. tell that to sarawakians and sabahans who dont even care who they are voting for. you guys saved BNs ass last election.
let me tell you this, if we eastern and western dont work together and acknowledge that we are both malaysians, then you can keep your backward part of the country to yourself, becos, BN will never give you what you deserve, the wealth of this country.

The purpose of this particular blog entry is not really about the predicament of the Indians, or of any particular group/race.
What triggered me to write was the sheer ugliness and absurdity of human egoity as exemplified by Samy Vellu and MIC. It is the same absurdity that is displayed in the arena of politics - even in Pakatan Rakyat although to a much lesser extend.
I generally refrain to write about one particular group being marginalized against others. In the current situation almost everyone is being marginalized except for the few filthy rich and powerful ones perching at the top of pyramid of exploitation.
I do have a lot of sympathy for the downtrodden and helpless groups. Malaysia is still a lucky country, where we don't really see the widespread suffering in our neighbors like Indonesia and Myanmar. We are heading that way if we don't wake up collectively. That is what I want to write about.
